1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by The Skin Center Limited ("we", "us", "our", "the Salon"). By booking or receiving any treatment or service from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Please read these Terms carefully before booking any appointment. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not book or use our services.
2. Services
We offer the following treatments and services:

Body Treatments - Cleansing, exfoliating and massaging treatments

Eye Treatments - Eyebrow shaping and tinting, LVL lashes and eyelash extensions

Facial Treatments - Treatments for all skin types to restore healthy, clear complexion

Tanning - Award-winning natural spray tanning

Nail Care - Manicures, pedicures and nail treatments

Waxing - Lycon Precision Waxing system
-
Laser Hair Removal - Safe and effective laser hair removal treatments
All services are subject to availability and therapist discretion.
3. Bookings and Appointments
3.1 Making a Booking

Appointments can be booked online through our Vagaro booking system, by telephone on 01183 443 772, or in person at our salon.
-
You must provide accurate contact details (name, email address, telephone number) when booking.
-
By making a booking, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age, or have parental/guardian consent if under 16.
3.2 Confirmation
-
All bookings are subject to confirmation by us.
-
You will receive confirmation of your appointment via email or SMS.
-
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel appointments at our discretion, including but not limited to cases where we believe a treatment may not be suitable or safe for you.
3.3 Late Arrivals
-
Please arrive on time for your appointment.
-
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to shorten your treatment or reschedule your appointment to avoid delays for other clients.
-
The full treatment price will still apply even if the treatment time is reduced due to late arrival.
4. Cancellations and No-Shows
4.1 Cancellation Policy

We require at least 24 hours' notice for all cancellations or rescheduling of appointments.
-
Cancellations can be made online through your Vagaro account, by telephone, or by email.
4.2 Late Cancellations and No-Shows
-
Under 24 hours notice or no-show: You will be charged 100% of your booked service cost.
-
This charge will be processed using the payment card you provided when booking.
-
A "no-show" is defined as failing to attend your appointment without prior notice.
4.3 Our Right to Cancel
-
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to therapist illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond our control.

If we cancel your appointment, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer to reschedule at your convenience.
-
No cancellation fees will apply if we cancel your appointment.
5. Pricing and Payment
5.1 Prices

All prices are displayed on our website (www.skincenter.co.uk), our Vagaro booking platform, and in-salon price lists.

Prices are in British Pounds (GBP) and include VAT where applicable.

Prices are subject to change at any time, but any changes will not affect bookings that have already been confirmed.
5.2 Payment Methods

We accept payment via credit card, debit card, and cash.

All online bookings require a valid payment card to be stored on file through our Vagaro payment system.
-
Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed.
5.3 Additional Charges

Additional charges may apply if:

Extra time is required beyond the scheduled appointment

Additional products are used
-
Additional services are requested during your appointment

You will be informed of any additional charges before they are applied.
5.4 Vagaro Payment Processing

All card payments are processed through Vagaro Merchant Services.

By providing payment card details, you authorise us to charge your card for services rendered and any applicable cancellation fees.

Card transactions are subject to Vagaro's terms and conditions and payment processing fees.
-
We do not store your full payment card details; these are securely held by Vagaro in compliance with PCI DSS standards.
6. Packages and Gift Vouchers
6.1 Treatment Packages

Treatment packages must be used within 12 months of purchase unless otherwise stated.
-
Packages are non-transferable and non-refundable.
-
No refunds are given on any packages, including partially used packages.
-
Package treatments cannot be exchanged for cash or alternative treatments.
6.2 Gift Vouchers
-
Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
-
Vouchers must be presented at the time of booking or treatment.
-
Vouchers must be used before their expiry date; expired vouchers will not be honoured.
-
Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced.
-
Gift vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with other offers or promotions unless stated.
7. Medical Conditions and Client Responsibility
7.1 Duty to Disclose
You must inform us before your appointment of any:

Medical conditions (including but not limited to diabetes, heart conditions, epilepsy, autoimmune disorders)

Allergies (to products, medications, or ingredients)
-
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
-
Skin sensitivities or conditions (eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, etc.)

Previous adverse reactions to beauty treatments

Current medications (including topical treatments, antibiotics, Roaccutane, blood thinners)

Recent cosmetic procedures or surgeries
-
Use of sunbeds or excessive sun exposure
7.2 Consultation Forms

You may be required to complete a consultation form before certain treatments.

You must answer all questions truthfully and accurately.

Failure to disclose relevant information may result in injury, adverse reactions, or unsatisfactory results.
7.3 Limitation of Liability

We are not responsible for adverse reactions, complications, or unsatisfactory results where relevant medical or personal information was not disclosed by you.

It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to your health or medications between appointments.
7.4 Right to Refuse Treatment

We reserve the right to refuse treatment if:

We believe the treatment may not be safe or suitable for you

You have not completed a required patch test

You have not disclosed necessary medical information

You are under the influence of alcohol or drugs

You behave in an aggressive, threatening, or inappropriate manner

8. Patch Tests and Skin Tests
8.1 Requirement

Patch tests may be required for certain treatments, including but not limited to:

Tinting services (eyebrow, eyelash)

Chemical peels

Spray tanning (if requested)

Other treatments at the therapist's discretion

8.2 Timing

Patch tests must be conducted at least 24-48 hours before your scheduled treatment.

Failure to attend a patch test appointment may result in cancellation of your main treatment appointment.
8.3 Adverse Reactions

If you experience any adverse reaction to a patch test, you must inform us immediately.

We reserve the right to refuse treatment if a patch test indicates a risk to your health or safety.

No refunds will be provided if a treatment cannot proceed due to a failed patch test.
9. Treatment Results and Expectations
9.1 Individual Variation

Results from treatments vary depending on individual factors including skin type, age, lifestyle, medical history, and adherence to aftercare advice.

We do not guarantee specific outcomes or results from any treatment.
9.2 Realistic Expectations

9.3 Photographs and Marketing Materials

Photographs displayed on our website, social media platforms, or in-salon are for illustration purposes only.

They do not constitute a guarantee of results you will achieve.

Before and after photographs may be of different individuals and under different lighting conditions.
9.4 Course of Treatments

Some treatments (such as laser hair removal) require multiple sessions to achieve optimal results.

10. Aftercare and Client Obligations
